Psalm 27

Focus Scripture: Psalm 27
During a very difficult time in my life I had sought the Lord to give me understanding and clarity about something that had happened unexpectedly and hit straight to my heart. I just wanted the Lord to give me something that would help me know how to respond and process it. And just like Him, He did. He always does.
One particular morning as I was crying out before Him, just expressing to Him my thoughts and emotions about it all, He just listened. He leaned in and listened. When all was said and done He so kindly and lovingly led me to Psalm 27. The whole chapter. Bit by bit He lead me through it. Bit by bit He spoke to my heart about my situation. Bit by bit He changed my heart. Did I do anything wrong? No. He reassured me that I didn’t. But He changed the perspective of my heart. He changed the way I was believing. He changed the way I was feeling. He changed my heart with His words.
Now in this particular season, this new and uncertain season, He reminded me of Psalm 27. He reminded me of where I was and where He brought me. He reminded me that He heard me and took note of that time. This is who He is. He hears us and reminds us that He is near. Like the scripture says, “He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me…” He’ll hide you in the time of trouble. He’ll set you high upon a rock and be the lifter of your head. He is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. All you have to do is dwell with Him.
As always,
Be pretty. Be you.
He always loves you.
