In Due Time

In Due Time

Focus Scriptures: Galatians 6:9, Philippians 4:13

This past Monday I shared a scripture on Instagram about not becoming weary in doing good. In all honesty, I was preaching to myself. You know those moments when you have to encourage yourself? Yeah, it was that kind of day. Don’t get me wrong, I will always proclaim His faithfulness and goodness no matter what. Even if, remember? He doesn’t change, but my emotions do and I have to bring them back into alignment. Aligned with His word…do not grow weary because a harvest is coming. I had to remind myself that He’s promised me a harvest so I will press on to receive it.

Now let me clarify something. The Lord is not naive to our human nature and circumstances. He knows we will grow tired and our strength grows weak. He made us so He is well aware. So I don’t believe He’s telling us we can’t grow weary. He understands life and us. But I believe it’s more about the doing good part, at least this is one way the Holy Spirit ministered to me in this. Meaning don’t grow weary of choosing to do the good thing. To do the righteous thing. To do the sprit led thing. Don’t grow weary of obeying Him, trusting Him, or turning to Him because a harvest is coming in its due time. Yes, you will grow tired in your life emotionally, mentally, physically, but no matter how difficult the situation is do not grow weary in doing good.

In due time you’ll reap a harvest for your obedience. In due time you’ll reap a harvest for your generosity. In due time you’ll reap a harvest for trusting Him when you had every reason not to. It may not seem like a harvest is on the horizon because you’re surrounded by hardship or doubt or confusion, but if His word says it is then we can wholeheartedly trust that it indeed is. Don’t grow weary. Don’t stop doing good. Your harvest is right there if you don’t give up.

As always,

Be pretty. Be you.
